What kind of salaries do you pay? Why do you need to hire so many agents? I looked up MLS data. I do not see many listings in which you played the buyers agent role last year or this year.

You don’t see transactions for last year because the Redfin Direct service was launched in January of this year. We had our first two closes last week and more on the way!
We are hiring more agents to ensure that as we expand into additional markets our future customers receive the exceptional customer service that our current clients enjoyed. Our latest customer survey reports that 56% of respondents said their experience with Redfin was much better than what they’ve had with a traditional agent, 33% said it was better, 11% said it was the same.
In addition to competitive salary Redfin provides medical, dental and vision insurance for employees and their family, paid vacation, and stock options.

Hi,
Do your employees work out of their homes or an office.
I live approximately
1 1/2 hours from Seattle, are you able to utilize agents in other areas of WA.
I haven’t sent a resume but if I may, I would like to comment on how to improve customer service.
Setting cell phones to alert you to new customers. You may already have this feature, if not most customers appreciate the speedy response.

For now, our Seattle agents work out of our downtown headquarters, but we may end up setting up satellite offices as we expand beyond King County. This is what we do in San Francisco. Send resumes or comments to bahn@redfin.com. Thanks.
