A Faster and More Local search are really nice, but that's not all that needs to be done to Real Estate Search. There are so many other things that need/should be done. I actually have a blog post outlining this titled "Real Estate - The Search That Should Be." here: http://pietschsoft.com/Blog/Post.aspx?PostID=1413

I'm not sure how often we'll update the popular searches... we'll try to do it every 3 months.

I'm very impressed with the LA local search page. Links look solid for what we read as SweetDigs bloggers and Los Angeles residents.

Are the local Popular Searches updated often? That would be ideal information for demographically targeting our blog topics to what Redfin customers are currently interested in. Is there another way for us get those stats off the site beyond the most popular individually clicked homes?
