There is $500 billion in Option ARM’s that will be resetting interest rates and/or reached 125% cap on loan to value ratio very soon.
I believe that we will see some severe declines in housing values in next 12 months.
Realtors hang on......=o(

Redfin is the best website for viewing real estate listing. The only problem is that unlike shopping for electronics online, buyers need to physically go to the property before making a purchase decision. What if Redfin change the business model to be a web portal instead of an real estate broker? Similar to the Amazon marketplace, if Redfin can engage in the process with any other agents, it may be a better model to make a fair share of the commissions from the buyers and sellers in each sale done through Redfin.

Redfin ... you're not my favorite but I must give credit when its due. I just updated my blog with Washington real estate web trends for September 08. Your site's visitor traffic held steady while competitors all experienced significant drops. Well done!

The credit crunch has given financially strong buyers lots of leverage negotiating deals with sellers nervous about financing. “If you have a 20% down-payment,” Allie said, “you can really call the shots.”
