Bruce Willis just listed his Beverly Hills estate for a whopping $22 million! The 11 bedroom, 11 bath home sits on almost a full acre of property. In addition to standard features, it comes with maid’s quarters, a media/music room, library and tennis court. It was built in 1928 but has been updated with modern amenities, including a gourmet kitchen with stainless steel appliances and a steam shower in one of the (many) bathrooms. The furnishings are a mix of old and new, from modern white sofas to classic leather chairs and an antique-looking bed frame. Outside there’s a large pool, with a covered patio, cabana and built-in barbecue.
Willis purchased the home in June 2004 for $6.3 million, under his “Ix Nay” investment trust, which he has also used to buy several properties in New York. The former owner was Alan Ladd Jr., a film industry executive and producer who is famous for giving George Lucas the green light to make Star Wars. Other notable past and present residents include screenwriter Michael Leeson, NASCAR owner Ollen Bruton Smith, Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz, and Michael Jackson.
“This area of Beverly Hills is known for having houses of celebrities, entertainment executives and CEOs of major companies. It’s not uncommon to see homes priced above $20 million,” said Corina Galen, a Redfin real estate agent in Los Angeles.
What do you think of Bruce’s home? Looks like all those Die Hard movies paid off!
