We are proud to report that Inman News named Redfin the Most Innovative Real Estate Brokerage of 2013 as part of its Innovator Awards, which are presented every year at the Real Estate Connect San Francisco Conference. The real estate industry news organization praised Redfin for our recent successful expansion into South Florida and California, building online tools like Offer Insights for our customers, and developing services that make our Redfin real estate agents more efficient. This is the second time Redfin has received this award from Inman, having previously been honored in 2006.
“We first won this award the year we launched our brokerage, when we aspired to put the customer first but knew nothing about how to deliver personal service. Since then, Redfin has hired nearly 1,000 real estate agents, and hosted customers on nearly 1 million home tours,” said Redfin CEO Glenn Kelman.
“We’ve learned enormously from our peers in the industry, but also became even more confident in our original mission to benefit consumers. Over that time, our technology investments have been focused not simply on creating a better search site, but on improving the whole process of buying or selling a home. Almost every innovation — from the insights we publish on our agents’ tours and offers to the tools we build for guiding customers through escrow — hasn’t been a pure technology innovation or a pure service innovation but a combination of the two. These innovations are what matter most to customers, and they can only come from the brokers serving the customer.”
Innovation is at the center of our company. From our online real estate agent reviews, to our Home Value Tool and mobile real estate app, reinventing real estate is what we do. We would not have received this award without the efforts of our staff, partners and especially our clients. Thank you!
