People Magazine just named Channing Tatum the Sexiest Man Alive for 2012! The Magic Mike star struts his stuff around the Hollywood Hills, where he owns a 2,538 square foot home that he purchased in 2008 for $2.6 million. The home sits on a private lot surrounded by lush foliage, creating a quiet sanctuary from the hustle and bustle of Los Angeles. It features a curved teak staircase, wraparound terraces and 12-foot pitched wood and beam ceilings that give it the feel of a Balinese tree house.

The home is a fitting location for this stud muffin, considering Channing’s efforts to raise money for rainforest preservation. Yesterday Matt Damon was the star of Redfin Neighborhood Watch – and today he told E! News he is grateful to live next to his buddy, Ben Affleck, saying, “I never looked up at the sky and asked for this life and I’m very lucky that I got it.” Ben lives just up the road on San Remo Drive, which gives their girls a chance to play together often.

Matt and Ben live next to another A-list star that made headlines today: Tom Hanks. Tom will soon go from Saving Private Ryan to Saving Mr. Banks, as today Disney announced the production of Saving Mr. Banks, the account of Walt Disney’s twenty-year pursuit of the film rights to Mary Poppins. Hanks is set to play the role of Walt Disney, the first time the legend has ever been depicted in a movie.
