Bainbridge Island: Convenience in Commodore

This classic Chaffey home reminds me of the dresses and hairstyles in the old Remington Steele episodes. (Remember shoulder pads and big hair?) If you’re good with paint, and don’t mind a master bedroom on the main level and kids bedrooms on the lower, and if you’d enjoy living in a neighborhood with a couple houses that put up an entire Target’s worth of Christmas decorations during the holiday season (my toddler’s dream home at last!), then perhaps you should look at this house. It’s in Commodore West, the subdivision that sits just off High School Road. I spoke with a kind neighbor as he tugged down a strand of festive outdoor lighting. He stated, and I quote, “We bought here for the convenience.” Commodore backs up onto the high school, and teen folk will enjoy easy get-the-h-e-double toothpicks-out-of-the-neighborhood access to Winslow. I’ve heard nothing but the nicest things about the neighbors over there, just for the record, so don’t get the wrong idea. This place could work very well for the weekend decorating enthusiast who is looking for reasonable pricing on BI. Big Pluses: top of cul de sac setting, so it gets a lot of light, and fully fenced backyard for roving tots and doggies.
