Oh, and there really is Yacht Storage over near the bridge into Salem on 1A. That's also near The Anchor, home of the $3 Guinness draft and the best chicken Parm in town! Seriously -- it's a combination diner and bar. How great is that?

The river to the left of the frame is the Porter River; the one to the left isn't named as far as I know. It connects to the the Shoe Pond up at the Cummings center, but was a continuous river before they built 62 -- or something like that.

I don't know -- the local folk just call it "The Rivah."

It's actually the confluence of 2 rivers where they meet the Briney North Atlantic.

It is brackish water, with dramatic tides. The other day we saw a seal.

Actually, Shorty, there are moorings all over the place out there. Most of my neighbors have a water craft of one sort or another -- this is a waterfront town.

Mike, what's that pretty body of water called?

Is there a place nearby where I can store my yacht?
