Barely 2 weeks later and two of the properties are *already* under agreement!!!

Could things get any better for the South End?? Everytime I think we're seeing the best of times, things just get better!

If I were a religious woman, I'd say that God has a special place in his heart for our wonderful neighborhood.

Thank you Alix for your continued attention to the nabe. Keep up the good work!

Hey Avi- the big surprise for me was that they all showed up on the same day. I don't remember looking at the listings and seeing that many in one day.

I always find the neighborhood boundary wars interesting. I knew a woman who told everyone she grew up in Ohio, but then the river changed course, so now she's from Kentucky. I still don't know if she was serious.

Hi Alyk,

Not quite sure I understand why you seem so surprised with the number of new listings in this price range. Of the 160+/- condominiums and townhouses on the market as of this morning, fully 25% are in the seven figures. It's a number that hasn't changed much over the last 6-12 months. Perhaps it just struck you more so yesterday!

291 Shawmut was a property listed for several months earlier in the year, now with a new agent.

And not to confuse matters too much in the age-old discussion of neighborhood boundaries, "technically" the odd numbered side of Columbus Avenue between Clarendon and Dartmouth is Back Bay, just as the Albert Pope building further down towards Berkeley at 221 is. So if you were to remove the listings at 285 and 303 Columbus over the $1M mark, the inventory would drop.
