A Tour of Wrigleyville Sky Decks
Wrigley Field has some undeniably unique features, among them being the rooftop decks that seem to float in the sky just beyond the left and right field bleachers. As many people know these are private beer gardens, such as Beyond the Ivy, which provide all-you-can-eat hot dogs, hamburgers, bratwurst and other fare, as well as all-you-can-drink beer with a view of the game for a fixed price. The days of half-a-dozen guys scrambling to the roof with their Smokey Joe and a six-pack to take in the game are long gone.
A few years ago these building owners settled a lawsuit with the Chicago Cubs, and now pay a percentage of their revenues to the team as royalties. Although units are sometimes available in these buildings located directly across the street from the ball park on Sheffield and Waveland Avenues, they are only sporadically available.

However, many condominiums in Wrigleyville offer some type of outdoor living space, either as a rear deck, a garage deck (a deck built over the garage), a common rooftop deck or a private rooftop deck. Some of them even have views of the field, although nothing like you would get at one of the commercial rooftops directly across from the ball park. Others may not have a view of the game, but may at least offer a view of the skyline.
