Dead Grass

As if sellers don’t have it bad enough… now they’re being told don’t water their grass. According to an article in the OC Register, the Water District wants “everybody to start paying close attention to how much water they use – and to start saving 20 gallons a day.” Consumers have been put on notice that “rate increases and rationing are coming.” I heard on the news this morning that they might consider hiring “water watch dogs” that go around and give citations (warnings only) to water abusers (i.e. hosing off sidewalks, washing cars, etc.).

As we all know, curb appeal is huge when attracting buyers to your house. Now sellers that are trying to be conscientious and conserve water might be penalized for not keeping their house up… what a pickle.
