Down (But Not Out) in Beverly Hills (And Elsewhere)

This BevHills listing caught my eye because it was a pretty big one-time price reduction.  It’s a three-bed, three-bath house, just over 2,000 square feet, and its seller just cut its asking price from $1,875,000 to $1,699,000.

Speaking of the seller, he/she will realize a nice profit on this property.  Its last sale was in 1976, for $43,000. Maybe that’s why cutting the asking price by 10 percent wasn’t that hard to do.

A few more price cuts:

1707 Viewmont Drive, Los Angeles:  This three-bedroom, three-bath above the Sunset Strip has been reduced to $2,499,000, from $2,700,000.

1833 Fairburn Ave., #201, Los Angeles:  This Westwood 2+2 condo was reduced to $589,000 from $634,000.

1617 S. Beverly Glen, #105, Los Angeles:  This 2+2 contemporary townhome in Westwood has been reduced from $629,000 to $599,000.
