What You Get For Half A Million

You didn’t think that I’ve completely forgotten about the homes in the 90094 zip code, did you? Yes, there has been recent activity in this built-from-the-ground-up little community. In mid-January this year, 13075 Pacific Promenade, #320 sold for an even $500,000. It’s a two-bedroom, two-bath condo – one of the Avalon homes. The homes of this development are based on neoclassical European architecture, the description says. The neoclassical architecture of Europe is characterized by detailed surface elements and borrows from Greek and Roman architecture. Architectural styles aside, the home had a pretty extensive listing past. Check it out:

In mid August of 2007, the property was listed for $529,785. Then it was re-listed in early September for $569,000. (Can we say bump it on up?) But wait! It gets better. In late September, the price dropped to $548,900. Then the owners shaved another $20,000 off in early November to make the sale price $528,900. The final price drop came in December, when it dropped to $519,000. Talk about incremental changes. Whoo! I’m tired. Are you?

Just a hop, skip, and jump away are a few other two-bedroom, two-bath properties that are still on the market.
