Bad Moon Rising

I see the bad moon arising.
I see trouble on the way.
I see earthquakes and lightnin.
I see bad times today.

I am always amazed at how great song lyrics remain timeless. For many of the standards of yesteryear can be released today with just as much relevance as they had when they were first released. For example, the 1969 release of Bad Moon Rising by the Creedence Clearwater Revival would have been a great fit two years ago for the real estate industry. A prophetic look of negative things to come and a downfall of things on the way. Of course it did not take much of a prophet to see where things were headed, but the poignant lyrics provide a well worded, introspective look at the direction of the industry. While the lunar vista over Newport Beach may look a little better than most, it, as the rest of the country has not escaped the dark shadow of foreclosures, slow past sales and descending values of homes.
