Let’s Not Forget About North Bend

We talk a lot about Bellevue, Kirkland, Issaquah and the sorts. Lately, I’ve wondered about life 10 miles further down I-90? Have you ever been to North Bend?

I LOVE the downtown community. I’m too attached to city life to call North Bend home, but the area has a lot to offer including one of the Eastside’s best hiking destinations, Mount Si. Hiking Little Si is how I discovered the area. Just a few miles away from North Bend is Snoqualmie, which is mostly known for its falls and lesser known for its antique railway museum—a must see for people who either love trains or enjoy the movie “Station Agent” as much as I do.

Redfin summary of the North Bend real estate market is below. A quick search determined the most expensive home for sale in North Bend is listed for $2.795 million and offers nearly 3 acres of picturesque land. I think they intentionally focused the photos on the property rather than the home, which is also exquisite.

With a median list price of $448,000 in North Bend, your money stretches far. Lots are bigger, and homes have a larger square footage. Homes currently listed for sale in North Bend have an average of 3.3 bedrooms and 2,230 square feet.

North Bend isn’t hiding from the current real estate economy. Twelve houses reduced prices in the past week, some dropped in price by more than $40,000.  If you are looking for a deal with the option for land, privacy, great craftsmanship and short walks to hiking destinations, North Bend may be your long lost real estate penguin.
