Berkeley/Oakland: Heads-Up On The “Not Quite Ready Yet” Homes

I can’t decide whether it’s deeply helpful or just downright frustrating to know that a home is “coming soon” to the market.

Do you like to be so in-the-know that you know what’s coming before it’s arrived (as it were)? Or would you rather just find out about your next potential home when there’s a set-in-concrete open-house date attached to the details?

Realtors like to keep us on our toes I guess.

So for those who want to be ahead of the curve, here are four properties — two in Berkeley, two in Rockridge on the Berkeley/Oakland border — that aren’t quite available yet – but will be soon:

1 Claremont Crescent, Berkeley/3-bedroom s/$950,000 (pictured below). (The Grubb Company)

2802 Woolsey Street, Berkeley/3-bedroom Craftsman/$1,250,000 (The Grubb Company)

400 Avon/ Rockridge/1925 Fourplex/POA. (Prudential California Realty)

Near Rockridge BART/3-bedroom Mediterranean/$979,000. (Pacific Union)

Newsflash: I just spotted what looks like a large single family house almost at the top of Ashby Avenue, near the intersection with Claremont Avenue, with a “Coming Soon” board outside it. Courtesy of The Grubb Company. I’m beginning to think this is all a bit silly.
