San Francisco tides are infamous. The signs on Ocean Beach advise us that the currents are unusual and unpredictable, and that people have died swimming here. And although I don’t know the statistics of death and its relationship to SF real estate, I would say indeed that these tides too are unusual and unpredictable, and you would be well advised to get your home buying lessons before you jump into the deep.
