Sunday in Marin: Median Priced Open Homes

avg-price.jpgSunday is Open House day.  With the latest report that the median price for a single family home in Marin has dropped to $860,000 from August’s median price of $1 million, it’s time to be search of that median price home.  With so many pricey zip codes all over Marin, it didn’t shock me to not find any listings for single family homes in this price range in Tiburon, Sausalito, Mill Valley, Larkspur, Ross, Kentfield, etc…

But here are a few comparables to see what the median price can buy in Marin.  All are open on Sunday from 1/2-4pm:

826 Sutro Ave, Novato – 4 Beds, 3 Baths, 2355 SF, $869,000:  In the central Novato area, this house sits on ~1/5 acre and has a circular driveway in the front for all the cars of your guests.

208 Scenic Ave, San Anselmo – 3 Beds, 2 Baths, 1564 SF, $849,000:  In the hills of San Anselmo, this house has been on the market for 47 days and has views of the Ross Valley.

53 Dowitcher Way, San Rafael – 3 Beds, 3 Baths, 1938 SF, $865,000:  Part of the Baypoint subdivision in San Rafael, this house boasts pleasant views of the bay.

274 Oleander, San Rafael - 4 Beds, 3 Bath, 1818 SF, $849,000:  Price reduced on this home that has been on the market for 38 days.  Across from a park, this home was expanded from a 2 bed 1 bath to it’s current size.  With over 1/4 acre, there’s still plenty of yard after the expansion.
