Alameda County: Foreclosures during 2007 and December Sales

bank-and-courier.gifToday’s SF Chronicle headline “Shocks to the System” details the current foreclosure crisis in California as well as the Federal Reserve emergency rate cut. California foreclosures in the 4th quarter of 2007 reached 31,676 (compare this to 6,078 same time last year). Alameda County stats stand at 1026 foreclosures during the 4th quarter and 2573 notices of default. In the Bay Area, Contra Costa County took the lead in foreclosures during the last quarter of 2007; Alameda County came in second and Solano County third.
