Breaking the $500K Barrier in San Jose

forsale1.jpgPrices continue to drop in San Jose – especially on the besieged East Side.  A “magic” number has been the $500K barrier; one year ago, it would have been unheard of to be able to purchase a single family home in San Jose for less than this magic number.

Today, there are a number of very nice single family homes – predominately in East San Jose, that are selling for a list price of under $500K.

One is located at 1167 Winslow Dr - a 4 bedroom 2 bath home listed at $499K.  With 1500 square feet, a nicely landscaped backyard, and hardware flooring – this is a great bargain.  The pricing is probably influenced by the “funky” paneling in the living room, or the 1950′s lineoleum in the kitchen.

Another is 1754 Biscayne Way, listed at $499,500.   This property has curb appeal with a nice brick front, and a really nice kitchen with tons of storage space.  It is a 3/2, with roughly 1K square feet.

13645 Marmont Way is a 4/2 with over 1800 square feet offered at $499,950.  It has gently arched entry ways from room to room, and Feng Shui compliant green walls!

Last but not least, 1601 Hermocilla Way is a modern styled home with 3 bedrooms and 2 1/2 baths offered at $499k.  With 2178 square feet, this home is not only well-priced, it is also spacious!

Happy Bargain Hunting!
