EB Tri-Cities Open Houses March 8-9

I am dedicating this weekend’s open house listings to condos and townhouses. More and more people are deciding to downsize to a condo because of the lower price. Makes sense actually. The only reasons I could see where it wouldn’t work is if you like having a yard, like to be further away from your neighbor’s sounds, need more privacy, don’t want to feel like you are in an apartment type atmosphere, and don’t like to have your neighbors right there in your face whenever you go outside.

More and more condos and townhouses are becoming bigger and roomier and set up more like a detached home now, so you actually do feel like you are living in a house. And there are usually a lot of amenities that come with this community-type living like swimming pools, tennis courts, etc. for a nominal up-keep fee.

One of the listings below is what’s called a ‘duet’ or what I always called a duplex (my age is showing?). Another good alternative to the housing cost dilemma. You live in one unit and rent the other one out. This way you can keep close tabs on the tenants and have some help with the mortgage payments.
