Once again, I got sidetracked while researching articles for information on the farmers markets. But this time, it’s for a really good, albeit heartbreaking, cause. The Loudoun-Times Mirror is running an article about a 5K being planned to benefit Kailee Vance, a 6-year-old Ashburn girl with a rare form of cancer called rhabdomyosarcoma . A family friend is organizing the event, which is planned for May 10th. To find out more, visit http://web.mac.com/lilleyca/Site/Kailees_Run.html. If you’re not the 5K type but would still like to help, you can donate by visiting http://active.com/donate/Kailee. And if you’d like a lesson in true bravery, fortitude and inspiration, you can read Kailee’s story here. Don’t forget the tissues.
