$320 Grudge Match: Pasadena vs. Laguna Hills

Fellow blogger Sheila McDaniel’s ‘Bang for Your Buck’ post for Laguna Hills piqued my curiosity for what you could get in Pasadena, dollar-for-dollar. In this city, as it is in Laguna Hills, $320 $/SQ.FT is the very low end of the market. It is also somewhat unsurprising that most of the listings originate from Pasadena’s troubled northwest corner:

1138 RAYMOND AVE
$699,999
Beds: 3 / Baths: 3
SQ.FT.: 2,235
$/SQ.FT.: $313
MLS#: A07109053

236 CRYSTAL LN
$499,900
Beds: 4 / Baths: 2
SQ.FT.: 1,593
$/SQ.FT.: $314
MLS#: F1722558

171 GLORIETA ST
$525,000
Beds: 3 / Baths: 2
SQ.FT.: 1,614
$/SQ.FT.: $325
MLS#: P600182

125 SIERRA MADRE BLVD #212
$290,000
Beds: 1 / Baths: 2
SQ.FT.: 887
$/SQ.FT.: $327
MLS#: Z07128969

Perhaps you may decide that blowing $320 on frozen yogurt at Pinkberry for you and 60 of your closest friends is money better spent. In Pasadena, anything is possible.
