It must have been three, or maybe four months back during the summer when I first noticed these gated Mediterranean/Italian inspired (though no apparent fancy name to match) townhomes on Huntington Drive. They were very close to finished by then, and the foreman on site allowed me to tour one of the units with little fuss.
Spacious, well built, and along with the Venetian Villas on 2nd Ave., among the most lavishly appointed townhomes I’ve seen in the area. Walking distance to Ralph’s also a plus. Naturally, I was curious at what the asking prices would be- but hadn’t imagined I’d have to wait until the fall to find out.
For months these properties sat with only the builder’s sign on the gate. Calls directed you to a receptionist who provided no real information on when they would go to market. Here we are in November, and the prices fall in line with my predictions, ranging from $868,000 to $898,000, at 2310 to 2370 square foot. The most expensive is asking $10,000 more than the next priciest unit, while being actually 13 sq.ft smaller. As this is the street facing unit, presumably you are paying for the windows and bedroom verandas that open out to Huntington.
It’ll be interesting to see how this development fares- one unit has already sold (1020 B), and another is pending.
