A Sweet(zer) Price Reduction
Sweetzer Avenue is a cool Los Angeles street between Fairfax and La Cienega; there’s even a Web site named after one of its more hip intersections.
Today I came across a price reduction on this Sweetzer abode on the block just north of Beverly Boulevard. It’s a three-bedroom, two-bath, built in 1929 and “beautifully restored.” It’s now listed for $1,299,000, down from $1,499,000 – a pretty significant slash. Its last sale was in 2000, for $520,000. (Ah, those were the good old days. Will we ever see them again?)
A few houses down is 353 N. Sweetzer, also a three-plus-two built in 1929, which sold around Thanksgiving for $951,446. Foreclosure?
And a few more houses down is 337 N. Sweetzer, a three-bed, two-bath listed for $1,500,000. It’s been on the market for about the same time as our reduced Sweetzer property, so we’ll have to see if it succumbs to the price-cutting trend.
