Four Favorite Eastside Properties
You eastside real estate mavens have been clicking away on Redfin listings again this week, pushing four area properties into our most popular category. So in the interest of keeping our less-industrious readers in the loop, here’s a rundown of what the neighbors have been checking out:
This 2/2 condo is being billed as “Silver Lake’s most prestigious address,” which just might be stretching the truth. Like taffy. But it does have a good-looking pool. The building itself is pretty low key considering it’s size—you barely notice it driving down Griffith Park Boulevard. This one last sold in 2003 for $290,000, and now the asking price is $549,000.
Keeping it in Silver Lake, here’s a popular little Spanish 2/1 fairly close to the trendy shopping/dining stretch near the now-drained lake. It’s $675,000, and last sold in 2000 for $160,000…cute, but with its “original details” and an area with lots of rental property, I’ll be curious to see if this price holds. It’s only been on the market 6 days.
This condo is a little out of our normal territory: it’s in that semi-lost land that’s sort of Koreatown, sort of Hancock Park Adjacent, if you’re feeling generous. Basically on Wilton east of Olympic. It’s a six-unit building by a young developer who is happy to tell you about himself. Only two units left! Act fast! Or not. Looks like it started on the market last September for $719,000 and is now $599,000. But it also looks like a 3/3 in a nearby building sold for $567,558 last Christmas.
Lastly, located just west of downtown, near Good Sam hospital, this studio at the new 1100 Wilshire complex is getting interest. It’s listed at $564,900, and the building has an infinity pool on the roof. The bums on the street look kinda cute from up there.
