Redfin’s February Update: 740 Homes Toured, 207 Offers

Beginning with February, Redfin is publishing monthly Southern California real estate stats, summarizing what we’re up to in the market, and how the market is changing. This is our first crack at it, which means we’ll only present a few numbers for February.

  • 30,028 price reductions.
  • 239,241 homes were added to Southern California Redfin users’ favorites list

Brokerage Activity

  • 740 homes were toured by our clients through Redfin field agents.
  • 30 people attended our home buying class.
  • 207 clients made offers (real estate owned (REOs) listings made up 39% of Redfin’s offers on homes since the beginning of the year).
  • 23 clients responded to our customer-satisfaction surveys and posted an online review.

  • Learn how to spell RICARDO, maybe that is why your all alone in your home purchase. Try to think about what you want to say before you say it, that might help you out!! Or Anna is just to busy for you!

That would be a grammar error, not a spelling error.

Sean Can't spell either! your? you're! to? too!
  • Hi James,

Redfin agents are not paid on commission, so there really isn’t a monetary difference for us in servicing a listing vs a buyer, as our pay would be the same. We are based on customer service and satisfaction. In fact, we encourage reviews from previous clients so you can read feedback from people who have actually gone through the process.

I am more than happy to take any and all calls from potential buyers for my listings. That’s how you get them sold…and that’s how you make happy clients! :)
  • Hi James, don't know if you saw this or not but a seller recently posted about their experience selling in San Diego in the forums, Sold at Full Price in Four Days.

My biggest concern is if I were to list my La Jolla property with one of the Redfin agents will they get back to the interested agents/buyers quick enough. They have every reason and incentive to respond quickly when representing a buyer as they know that is money in their pocket, but with only $5k to them as a listing agent I could see them getting frustrated with all the calls from other agents.

What do you think Anna, or can others share experiences. Thanks

I always get a response from Anna, usually within hours. One anomaly was when it took her 2 days, but that is the exception, not the norm. And I would not consider my questions high priority either. They are not yet related to making a transaction, but I hope they will be soon!

    Hi Ricardo,

I apologize for the delay in response. I will email you directly right now.
  • Hi Ricardo, I'm sorry to hear that! I'll get in touch with Anna and let her know that you're waiting to hear from you.

And thanks Harry for the glowing recommendation of Anna!

Even though the comment above is irrelevant to this page I will respond because Anna has been my agent for the past month and she is amazing! She almost always answers the phone or calls me back within a few minutes even during weekends. I am a first home buyer and she has been answering all my questions, advising, and listening to every single thing that I mention. She is also extremely quick in putting my requests in paper and send them to the sellers.
I am extremely satisfied and I would definitely recommend working with Anna!!
