Doom, Gloom and the Waiting Room

All right you pessimists (though a true pessimist won’t dare admit it, you just say you’re a “realist telling it like it is” but that’s another blog entirely), I’ve found a gem of a website for you. For as sunny as the South OC summers are (seriously when was the last time you used your windshield wipers?) there’s plenty of doom and gloom a brewin’.

The two groups look like end is near Doom, Gloom and the Waiting Room and end is near 1 Doom, Gloom and the Waiting Room

In one corner we have the doom ‘n’ gloomers and in the other – well, they have their rose colored glasses on.

The naysayers have an entire website The Bursting Bubble (be sure to take your Prozac before clicking the link).

My thoughts – you can find statistics to support any story. Instead of there being a bubble or no bubble at all maybe the bubble looks something like this:

bubble in bubbles Doom, Gloom and the Waiting Room

Bubbles in bubbles. We might feel little pops of certain smaller bubbles (inventory, mortgage rates, etc.) and it will make the bigger bubble rise or sink but in the end we still have a bubble. I think that’s exactly what’s been happening and is going to continue to happen. We’re going to watch our big bubble rise and fall a bit (sometimes out of our comfort level) but in the end it should remain in tact. That said, my husband declares I’m a total pessimist so we’ll see who’s right!

Nice blog. Good depiction of bubbles.

You can thank my toddler for his masterful bubble blowing. Be sure to check back often for more!
