Inventory Update in Tustin

Don’t make me look!

Time to check in on how the housing market is doing in Tustin. Do we really have to look?! I’m afraid it will be painful…

Not to worry! While the market is bad (all over), Tustin isn’t quite as bad off. The median home price in Tustin is currently $719,950. While that’s down from what it was a few months ago, it’s not falling at the same rate as some other places in Orange County (such as Santa Ana, Fullerton, or Garden Grove… these cities are not fairing too well). In going back to another autumn leaf analogy, Tustin is slowly drifting down like a golden leaf in a light autumn’s breeze. Other cities are seeing more of a speeding freight train headed downhill with no track on the bridge ahead (okay, maybe not that bad, but you get the idea).

The market action index in Tustin is currently 15.91. This indicator points to an evermore buyer’s market. There are 233 homes sitting on the market in Tustin right now. This number isn’t too far off from the last time I checked, which can be viewed as good news. The optimist would say that buyers are buying homes and for the homes being listed, someone is buying. However, the pessimist would that sellers are getting fed up and taking their homes off the market to either sit on them or lease them out until the market turns.
