Thanks for your feedback. It is always helpful to know what is most useful to the readers.

It is true that Irvine is more expensive that some surrounding areas, but if you are really interested, don't give us just yet. Some analysts say that housing prices will eventually go down to 2003 levels. And I tend to think that they are right.

So, if the pundits are right and if you want, Irvine could be in your future yet.

We've been contemplating moving a few miles over to Irvine from Tustin, if we could afford. This 200 Tropea Aisle caught my eye. I did a little digging and found that it is a 2 bedroom/1 bath (846 sq ft) and built in 1997. It was offered at $440,000. I think it's too small for us, though.

Of course, 9 Torrigiani Aisle also caught my eye at below $400k in Irvine! However, after more digging, I found this one was only a 1 bedroom/1 bath yet 1,088 sq ft. It was offered at $399,900. I can't believe the sellers actually paid $459,000 two years ago for a 1 bedroom! What were they thinking?

Irvine is just too expensive if you want a 3 bedroom... at least for us!
