deerfield park El Camino Revisited: Price Reductions, New Listings & Open Houses The 2008 Community Indicators Project, a gauge of the quality of life in Orange County, came out recently and states that the Orange County housing market is particularly out of reach for 25- to 30-year olds. With that in mind, I am going to take a return look at one of Irvine’s more affordable detached-homes neighborhood, El Camino. Although condos are available in El Camino, detached homes are the main feature.

This is a contrast to the Orangetree neighborhood. In Orangetree, which is another one of Irvine’s more affordable communities, condos are the rule (Orangetree map).

Good schools abound for El Camino as they do for all of Irvine, so it just might be the place for young families. Here is a look at some recent housing activity in Irvine’s El Camino neighborhood. This activity includes price reductions, new listings and two open houses.
