Realistically, this may not be a good time for someone renting to buy anything but their perfect home for the next ten years... For someone who already has lots of equity, who wants different features or a home in a different place, then this is a wonderful time to buy, the transaction costs and property tax will be lower than a few years ago, and the loan rates will be rock bottom. Just price it right and sell the current home first... I like your honesty!
