Orange: Condos under $200k

If you are like my husband and I were when we were buying our first place, it was sinara to the dream house and hello affordable condo. In perusing this week’s price reductions and new listings, I came across a few condos that would appeal to those “budget-minded” folks. Thanks to this market, there are some great deal on condos… only in this market can you get three bedrooms for under $200k.

Wow — those are . . . just . . . so hideous! OK, not exactly hideous, but just so scruffty and cramped. However, you’re right — they are relatively affordable, so SOON hopefully the selection will improve . . .

When you’re just starting out, you can’t really go for roomy and glamorous… unless of course you move to Ohio.

So true – my inlaws live in Ohio, and they are really putting the pressure on us to buy somewhere near them — but we’d rather continue saving & hold out to buy a teeny place in So. CA instead of a lavish, spacious home in OH . . . .nothing wrong w/ OH, but they just don’t understand why we won’t live there . . . .

You can’t put a price tag on this weather and the beach/mtns so close, best of both worlds… and then some!
And don’t forget, you’re energy costs (heating, AC, etc.) will increase dramatically in many parts of Ohio.

For less than $200K you can buy a new/newer 1600SF detached home with a yard near Palm Springs

Great, if you’re retired or don’t need a high-paying job. Would love to have a vacation home here some day.

OHIO sounds much better to me. LA is like a war zone.
