Headquartered in Seattle, it’s not just Redfin that has San Diego connections. Famed Seattle architect will be visiting San Diego next week at the Museum of Contemporary Art downtown. A historic preservationist, Wishkoski is overseeing the Cobb Building conversion which will transform the original U of W campus turned commercial space into high-end rentals.

I love the idea that Michael will be speaking to like-minded preservationists, especially here in San Diego where we have lost so much of our historic architecture. I think there is a heightened awareness and sensitivity to preserving our past in many forms but I also firmly believe we can and must do a whole lot better. There isn’t a lot of infill left in our community and too often we have sacrificed integrity for density, a fact that saddens me.
