What has made us hesitant is the games the realtors are playing. We walked in to an open house as it was just opening and there was no one there but us and the realtor said we have 3 offers on this property. Really?? He was just so slimy. AND he doesn't seem to be alone. Then this nonsense of backup offers just in case. Disgusting. I hear that is happening to many..and when passion and competiveness comes into play, people seem to turn into animals. We have just walked away. Where are the truthful realtors? Do they exist? We even had a seller say to us, make me an offer, I want to move. Too much work to do on the house though. We are watching and waiting.

As a (potential) buyer in SD, I would have to say this blog hit the nail right on the head.
I was one of those who bought a home in SD during the boom (2004) and fortuately, was able to sell just as the market started it's downward spiral (2006). Coming that close to being underwater really spooked me, so I've been renting for the past 2 years waiting for the opportunity to get back in.

Well, I guess things are the same in San Diego as they are in Phoenix!
I picture these buyers out there with glowing eyes and a smile like to chesire cat..waiting to pounce!
I found this because I "googled" "Why aren't buyers buying" I would like to get THEIR opionon....that is IF there ARE any buyers!!
I agree to watch and study...we can't sit and wait and not know that facts when they come out of their hiding place!
I am so sorry about the fires in your area. My prayers have been with them.
If you know of anyone who is fed up with CA and want to come to AZ...send them my way...www.GotSunAz.com I love to show peopel our city!
