Bang 4 Buck- Upscale Homes at Mount Helix

A Bundle of Bargains at the Big Hill

Fuerte Drive winds through the Mount Helix area where El Cajon and La Mesa meet. Lovely homes and landscaping mark the area, much as you find around Mount Soledad in La Jolla but East County has its own flavor, its own tempo. All these homes are near Fuerte Drive and there are many more to choose from. Feel free to explore the Redfin map just a few clicks away.

It would be fun to feature one of the more exotic homes here, but this is nice with pool, spa, koi pond & waterfall and it seems more representative of the homes in the area. It’s a new listing and the Bang for the Buck isn’t tops, but OK. There’s more to value than square feet- it’s just harder to measure.

Isn’t it shocking to see a crumbling bungalow on the beach or in the inner city selling for more than $500 per square foot? For the same total price we can have a real home, with a substantial lot in a safe community in East County.
