San Diego Real Estate Watch: An Ode to Dr. Seuss

Oh, the jobs people work at!  Out west, near Sand Land, there’s a Sand Lander Home Watcher.  Her job is to watch…is to keep both her eyes on the buying and selling of homes.  A home that is watched will move faster, you see.  But, in spite of her watch, those homes didn’t move any faster.  Not mawtch.  So then somebody said, “Our old home-watching gal just isn’t home-watching as hard as she can.  She ought to be watched by another home watcher.  The thing that we need is a Home-Watcher-Watcher.” 

WELL…

The Home-Watcher-Watcher watched the Home-Watcher.  He didn’t match well.  So another Sand Lander had to come in as a Watch-Watcher-Watcher.  And today all the Landers who live in Sand Land are watching on Watch-Watcher-Watchering-Watch, Watch-Watching the Watcher who’s watching that house.

4297 Randolph - 1955 single family home in Mission Hills with 2 beds, 3 baths.  Was $2,315,000, now asking $2,195,000.  Priced at $803 per square foot.  Last sold for $345,000 on November 24, 1998.  Its Zestimate is $957,500 and eppraisal is $1,122,439.  On Redfin 144 days.

4064 Vermont Street - 1925 single family home in Hillcrest with 2 beds, 1 bath.  Sold on February 6, 2008 for a yet undisclosed amount.  Last sold for $430,469 on August 24, 2007 for $430,469.  Its Zestimate is $544,500 and its eppraisal is $521,892.

4540 Voltaire - 1956 single family home in Ocean Beach with 2 beds, 1 bath.  Sold on January 18, 2008 for $554,000.  Last sold for $649,000 on June 30, 2006.  It’s Zestimate is $584,500 and its eppraisal is $794,633 (good job you smart buyer out there wherever you are)!  Oh, wait a minute, I do know where you are.  We are watch-watching after all.
