At the Top of the Center of the Universe
Maybe there is something to Fremont’s claim as “The Center of the Universe”. Google did decide to locate their Seattle offices there. In a sad twist of fate, it’s the employees of companies like Google and Adobe, and not the artists who have long called Fremont their home, who can afford properties like today’s Sweet Dig. Just a few blocks from the Fremont Troll is a top floor condo with incredible views of the Seattle skyline and Lake Union. It’s listed at $459,000: 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and 932 square feet.
The condo unit was built in 1997 and sold for $219,950 then; a doubling in valuation in nine years. Fremont’s median list price for homes and condos is $449,000.
