No Hotel Needed When Remodeling this Phinney Fixer-Upper!

As the fall weather sends homeowners inside to tackle home improvement projects, here’s one Phinney Ridge fixer-upper to keep you busy as the Seattle sun hibernates. Today’s most clicked-on property is a 1910 Phinney Ridge fixer-upper for $400,000 with two bedrooms, 1.75 baths and 1,810 square feet (the lot is twice the size at 3,600 square feet!). With a view of Greenlake and the Cascade mountains, it’s clear why this Sweet Dig was a popular click all weekend too.

When you’re ready to start renovations, look no further than your own backyard for a vacancy sign. The house comes with a cottage! The main house sports nice hardwood floors in the living and dining rooms, and a wood-paneled wall gives me flashbacks of the 1970s … Donna Summer on the record player, platform shoes on my feet, Chuck Taylors on my brothers … it actually sounds like this could be today.

Phinney Ridge’s median-list price is $489,450 averaging 24.6 days on the market. Three blocks away, a 1907, two-bedroom, two-bathroom home that’s only half the size sold for $390,000 in July.
