A Lifeboat in a Sea of Spendy
Yesterday’s most-clicked house on Redfin is a just-listed fixer in the Crown Hill section of North Ballard.
The home has been on the market for just four days but it’s clear from the listing price of just $369,000 (just $183/square foot) why it is so popular. This part of town is a well-known pocket of affordability in North Seattle and has some nice close-by retail districts and parks. (Carkeek is my son’s personal favorite!) The 1945 home has 4 bedrooms, 1 bathroom in 2,020 square feet of living space on a slightly-larger-than-normal 5,000 square foot lot.
If you haven’t tried it yet, check out the new feature on Redfin that allows you to search just fixer-uppers. I’m guessing that’s how your fellow Redfinners found this one, which is an unbelievable value at 38% below the normal cost per square foot for the neighborhood.
