Redmond Open House this Sunday
Need more than a slideshow of home photos? Get a dose of reality at Redfin’s open house in Redmond this Sunday: $344,950 list price, 2 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, and 1183 square feet. The townhome is located minutes away from Microsoft. We also like its proximity to Redmond Town Center and the big box stores just off Avondale Road. It’s vacant as you can see from the pictures.
Check out the seller’s write up on his local favorites:
Open house time: Saturday November 11, 2006, Noon – 4PM
Favorite restaurants in the area: When you’re really hungry you can’t beat Todai’s all you can eat sushi, or Claim Jumper’s gigantic portions of comfort food. For a hearty breakfast, Brown Bag Cafe is a big local favorite.
Favorite places to go: Marymoor Park has a terrific variety of activities. The summer is always full of festivals, concerts, and an ever changing roster of special events like WOMAD, and Cirque du Soleil. The velodrome, rock climbing wall, and tennis courts are great year-round features, and the Sammamish River and Burke-Gilman trails will take you all the way to Seattle via the Redhook Brewery and Woodinville wineries.
Best features of the home: The open floor plan puts plenty of space where you need it most. The living room and master bedroom are large and the master suite has a spacious walk-in closet. Light colors and generous lighting make the home bright and cheerful even on the darkest winter days, while tall ceilings and large windows keep things airy and cool during the summer. Unlike many area condominiums, this unit has a garage, which adds valuable parking, storage, and work space. Finally, siding and roofing were recently replaced throughout the complex so it should be several years before any major maintenance is needed.
Favorite room: The living room is really spacious (it was perfect for our big screen TV), and the fireplace is wonderful for cold winter nights. It connects to the kitchen in case you need a quick snack, and the back patio for summertime grilling.
What’s in the neighborhood: The unit backs onto a greenbelt with a walking trail that goes up the hill and into forest. Across Avondale there’s Gil’s farm and fruit stand with great local produce. All the shops and restaurants in downtown Redmond are just 1-2 miles away.
What I will miss the most: The neighborhood is a tightly-knit, diverse, warm and welcoming community. We’ll miss our neighbors dearly.
