South Seattle: Bring Your Own Marshmallows
My apologies! I can’t believe I’m reviewing yet another house on S. Holly Street (my third), but it’s kind of a long street. Don’t worry, I’ll have exhausted all the turnover on Holly soon and move on to more fertile grounds. Like Thistle Street, which is still a sharp and pokey plant.
This is a newly remodeled brick house, fairly suitable in aesthetics and location. The weird thing is that I have a mental image of what a Half-Million Dollar House is in my brain, but I’m beginning to realize that it is completely out of whack. So, I’ll be flexible and say that this house seems only moderately expensive at $528,000.
The yard is huge and already has a outdoor fireplace chimney thingy that could be easily spruced up into the focal point for an enticing patio and garden. Host those summer parties we all love. A well-developed grape arbor is a nifty feature and the neighboring houses are well-cared for and easy on the eyes. The interior appears to be clean and refinished, with appliances so new, the handles of the stainless steel fridge still were bubble-wrapped.
The numbers: 2,200 square feet. 3 bedrooms, 1.75 baths. Last sale price is not posted.
