Your Very Own Ginger Bread House
Most agents insist on waiting for a sunny day to take the pictures of their new listings to ensure that the property portrays a bright and cheery disposition. The agent for yesterday’s most-clicked house on Redfin Seattle went unconventional and used the weather last week to her advantage. The result is a house, covered in a layer of snow, that seems almost edible.
Perhaps I’m just a sucker for Wallingford bungalows (I used to live in one,) but this house just seems warm and toasty on a cold winter day. It was built in 1919 and has clearly been restored pretty extensively. For the listing price of $575,000, you get 3 bedrooms and 2 baths in 1,370 square feet. I particularly liked the new paint, fixtures and the kitchen with the island in it. If you are a serious cook though, the downdraft stove will likely drive you crazy.
While the $/square foot for the neighborhood seems a little high, the house is actually priced below its Zestimate of $589,992. Considering that it is also just up the street from the John Stanford International Elementary school, it seems like it’s worth checking out in person.

Too late. Sold sign out front when I swung by on 12/10/06. Guess that downdraft stove wasn’t a deal breaker
