House Hunting Tips: CC&R Scofflaws
Any neighbor in any type of housing can be a nuisance, but when you live in a condo, their behavior impacts you more. This story about former Seahawk Jerramy Stevens reminded me once again why I’m glad I no longer own a condo.
I know you can do some checking on nuisance neighbors through the police (noise complaints and such), but do homeowner associations release this kind of information — about CC&R violators, who’s been fined for what — to potential buyers? I’d appreciate hearing from anyone with more condo experience than me.
