High Density Hot Zones

Yesterday we featured hot zones for affordable homes so today we’re taking a peak at where the condos are. For the supreme urbanite that loves to feel the pulse of throngs of people all around all the time where are the best places to live?

In the Seattle area you’ll find the most condo selection in:

  • Downtown Seattle
  • Capitol Hill
  • Lower Queen Anne
  • around Lake Union
  • Downtown Bellevue
  • Redmond

Driven by demand some neighborhoods are turning into emergent high density zones:

  • Ballard
  • Fremont
  • Central District
  • University area

The key for success is access to enough amenities to support the growth. Stores and services need to come in at a comparable rate and we’re seeing that in the South Lake Union area with the new Whole Foods (which doesn’t feel that new already). Ballard is also hopping these days with great restaurants and boutiques on old Ballard Ave. and Market street.
