Open Houses – North Northgate and Lake City
You home shopping veterans might identify with my ongoing quest for truth in advertising. If a listing is on 125th St., for example, it’s not a selling point for me when someone advertises a home as “North Ravenna.” (And no, I am not referring to a specific listing; I just made that up.)
However, consistently naming a neighborhood is a difficult task when the City of Seattle won’t officially weigh in on where one neighborhood ends and another begins.
The map above from the City of Seattle Clerk’s Office (which the website disclaims as not official) is a good starting point toward delineating the neighborhoods. The top portion of Seattle is broken into three districts, two of which have names: Northgate and Lake City. Below are some of the weekend’s open houses in these districts, separated by neighborhood. All homes are open Sunday 9/16 from 1-4 p.m., unless noted otherwise.
Northgate contains the neighborhoods North College Park, Maple Leaf, Haller Lake, and Pinehurst.
