NW Seattle Prices: What Doom? What Gloom?
Amidst the national doom-and-gloom reporting about tanking home prices, area 705 in Seattle is a little ray of sunshine.
Single-family home prices are up nearly 10% year-on-year, with condo prices, which bobbled a bit early in the summer, eking out a 2.69% gain.
| Area 705 | August 07 median | 1 month ago | change | 4 months ago | change | Year ago | change |
| All | $433,000 | $453,000 | -4.62% | $444,000 | -2.54% | $439,725 | -1.53% |
| Houses | $494,500 | $487,975 | 1.38% | $475,000 | 4.11% | $450,000 | 9.89% |
| Condos | $305,000 | $284,950 | 7.04% | $295,500 | 3.21% | $297,000 | 2.69% |
Of course, that sun is only shining on sellers. If you’re a buyer, perhaps you’re hoping for a few clouds and rain showers to brighten the affordability picture.
