Can Price Drops Give you Carpal Tunnel Syndrome?

That’s exactly what I was thinking as I was compiling this week’s list of Eastside price drops greater than $25,000. If this trend keeps up, I’ll be able to tell you pretty darn soon.  

The winning price plummet is a property in Bellevue, which reduced by $750,000! Of course the it was listed at $10,000,000, but still, that’s a 10% price reduction. This brings a second thought into my head–if you’re able to consider a $10 million property, does a price drop actually have any effect?

Also noteworthy, a lower price range (before price reduction, $229,950) property in Kirkland dropped almost $55,000, which is roughly a 25% price drop.  Significant? Absolutely! But this one’s going auction style, with all offers being reviewed at a later date. I’ve seen this work to pump prices up in a seller’s market, but I’ll be curious to see how it will work these days…
