This is the time of year where the holidays just keep rolling in, one right after another. So if Black Friday didn’t get you in the holiday spirit, homeowners, see if this gets you in the mood!
Pop the kids in the car, and check out the Penn family’s holiday fervor and display of almost 10,000 lights, perfectly synchronized to holiday music, in Woodinville’s own Aspenwood neighborhood, located at 19510 223rd Ave NE.
Light shows are scheduled throughout the evenings. Check the website PennLights.com for details. While you’re there, be sure and watch my personal favorite video, “Light Construction, 2006” for spine-tingling inspiration.
Though the website documents Dan Penn’s 2006 fantabulous, Lego-like holiday journey, (formerly situated at the site of the family’s previous home) this year, Dan brings insanity to its knees with the family’s new home displaying almost twice as many lights and sounds as the Penn’s first outburst of holiday spirit.
So, here’s to you, Penn family, for bringing some color to our Seattle gray! (Keep your fingers crossed that this year that we avoid a 10-day power outage, and that Dan actually gets to show off the “fruitcake” of his labor. )
