Northeast Seattle Holds Its Own, Sort Of

Northwest MLS statistics are out for October, and the numbers are not terribly heartening — at least not if you’re trying to sell something. Buyers, listen up: overall, Seattle prices on closed sales dropped 5.65% from where they were in October 2006.

Area 710 Area 710 saw the second highest price gain YOY, 7.79%. It was on the higher end of inventory rises, with an increase of over 45% from October 2006. There were only a few more new listings over last October, but added to the listings that were already out there, the increase is substantial. The number of pending sales were down, but not as low as in some areas. And the number of closed sales was down nearly 25% from last year.

Meanwhile, if you’re shopping in Northeast Seattle, try on these homes. All of them are under $200/sq ft, which means more Bang for Your Buck.
